Baby Clothes LEWISTON

Before I had my children, I never really believed I would be part of a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I have become a new mother, talking to other women about what is going on in my life has benefited me immensely. We chat about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we like to discuss the latest baby fashions we have bought.

I usually go out with 2 other mothers, once a month, to find out the latest gossip. We usually meet at Ramada Inn Conference Center Lewiston/Auburn (which is in LEWISTON, ME) as that is quite central for all of us. Last time was more interesting because we discussed baby clothes. I have been giving my baby boy organic meals from the start but I had not considered purchasing organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most broadly grown products in the world and one of the most devastating to the ecosystem and to farm employees. The run off from cotton farms has destroyed habitats and especially water supplies. Organic cotton is made without the use of artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Alternatively, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using organic pest control techniques.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products

Purchasing organic clothes means you are buying clothes which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less contamination of our habitat. No or a reduction in the use of insecticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and lakes, less health problems for farm employees, and fewer health risks for children by lessening their contact with dangerous chemicals.

Several wholesalers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothes or you can find retailers completely dedicated to organic baby clothes. Thankfully, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are catered for, from babies to adolescents. Obviously, organic clothing for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.

I do not think that I am only ever going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is an excellent alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am absolutely going try to whenever it is available.
