Baby Clothes LANCASTER

Long before I had my children, I never really imagined I would belong to a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I am finally a mum, being able to talk to other women about what is happening in my life has really helped me. We chat about how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we like to chat about the most recent baby outfits we have bought.

I generally go out with 3 other women, once a month, to hear about the latest new. We usually meet at Three Crowns Restaurant (which is in LANCASTER, PA) as that is quite central for all of us. Last week was really exciting as we talked about organic baby clothing. I have been feeding my baby boy organic meals from the beginning but I had never thought about getting organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most broadly grown products in America and one of the most harmful to the ecosystem and to farmers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has ruined habitats and especially water supplies. Organic products are grown without the use of artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Rather, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using organic pest control practices.

You can get soft organic cotton baby outfits online from a number of shops. Sckoon has some gorgeous organic baby clothing.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing

Buying organic clothing means you are purchasing produce which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less contamination of soils and waterways. No or a reduction in the use of pesticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and waterways, less cancers for farmers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by moderating their contact with toxic chemicals.

Several makers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothes or you can find stores completely committed to organic baby clothes. Either way, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are catered for, from toddlers to adolescents. Naturally, organic clothing for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my man.

I do not think that I am only going to buy organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a fantastic alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am absolutely going try to whenever it is available.
