Baby Clothes KINGSFORD HEIGHTS

Long before I had my first child, I never believed I would join a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I have become a mother, talking to other women about what is going on in my life has been a huge help. We talk about how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we like to chat about the latest baby outfits we have bought.

I generally get together with 3 other parents, once a week, to catch up on the latest happenings. We often meet at Bob's Deli House (which is in KINGSFORD HEIGHTS, IN) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last month was particularly interesting seeing we talked about organic baby clothing. I have been giving my baby girl organic meals from the start but it had never crossed my mind to buying organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most broadly grown plants in the world and one of the most harmful to the environment and to farm workers. The run off from cotton farms has destroyed ecosystems and in particular water supplies. Organic cotton is made without using artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Rather, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using organic insect control methods.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products

Buying organic clothing means you are buying products which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less pollution of soils and waterways. No or a reduction in the use of herbicides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our land and rivers, reduced health problems for farm employees, and fewer health risks for children by reducing their contact with dangerous chemicals.

Quite a few wholesalers of baby clothes also make a range of organic clothing or you can find retailers entirely devoted to organic baby fashion. Either way, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from infants to adolescents. Obviously, organic fashion for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.

I am not saying that I am just going to buy organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is an amazing alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am definitely going try to whenever it is available.
