Baby Clothes KENMORE

Long before I had my children, I never believed I would be part of a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I have become a mum, talking to other parents about what is going on in my life has benefited me immensely. We talk about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we enjoy being able to talk about the newest baby outfits we have bought.
I generally go out with 4 other women, once a fortnight, to catch up on the latest new. We often meet at Mikey's Original Chili & Cheesesteak (which is in KENMORE, WA) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last time was really eye opening because we discussed baby clothes. I have been giving my baby girl organic food from the start but I had not considered buying organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most broadly grown products in the world and one of the most ruinous to the habitat and to farmers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has destroyed the environment and in particular water supplies. Organic products are grown without using artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Alternatively, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using organic insect control techniques.
Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing
Getting organic clothes means you are getting clothes which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less damage to soils and waterways. No or less use of herbicides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and rivers, reduced diseases for farmers, and fewer health risks for children by moderating their contact with dangerous chemicals.
Quite a few retailers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic items or you can find stores completely dedicated to organic baby clothes. Anyway, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are catered for, from infants to teenagers. Of course, organic clothing for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my man.
I am not saying that I am only going to buy organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is an excellent alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am definitely going try to whenever possible.
