Baby Clothes INDIANAPOLIS
Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 04-03-2010
Back before I had my baby, I never thought I would be part of a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I have become a mum, being able to talk to other women about what is going on in my life has really helped me. We chat about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we love to talk about the most recent baby outfits we have picked up.
I more often than not meet with 3 other parents, once a fortnight, to hear about the latest new. We often meet at Gramboli's Pizza - Oaklandon (which is in INDIANAPOLIS, IN) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last month was really eye opening because we chatted about organic baby clothing. I have been giving my baby girl organic meals from the start but I had never thought about buying organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most broadly grown plants in the world and one of the most devastating to the habitat and to farm workers. The run off from these farms has destroyed the environment and in particular water ways. Organic cotton is produced without using artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Instead, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using organic insect control techniques.
You can purchase organic baby clothes online from a number of shops. Sckoon has some gorgeous organic baby clothing.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products
Getting organic clothes means you are buying clothes which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less damage to the environment. No or a reduction in the use of insecticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and lakes, less health problems for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by moderating their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.
A number of retailers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothes or you can find companies entirely dedicated to organic baby clothes. Anyway, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are provided for, from babies to teenagers. Of course, organic fashion for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.
I do not think that I am only ever going to buy organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a fantastic alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am most definitely going try to whenever possible.
