Baby Clothes HOUSTON
Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 28-11-2009
Before I had my baby, I had not imagined I would belong to a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I have become a mother, talking to other parents about what is taking place in my life has benefited me immensely. We discuss how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we love to talk about the newest baby clothes we have purchased.
I usually meet with 2 other women, once a month, to find out the latest gossip. We generally meet at Demeris Barbecue (which is in HOUSTON, TX) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last time was particularly eye opening because we chatted about baby clothes. I have been giving my baby girl organic meals from the beginning but it had never crossed my mind to buying organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most broadly grown plants in the world and one of the most devastating to the habitat and to farm employees. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has damaged the environment and in particular water bodies. Organic cotton is grown without using artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Alternatively, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using organic insect control methods.
You can buy beautiful organic baby clothing online from a number of shops. Sckoon has some gorgeous organic baby clothes.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing
Buying organic clothes means you are purchasing produce which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less contamination of soils and waterways. No or a reduction in the use of insecticides and fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and lakes, fewer health problems for farm workers, and fewer health risks for children by reducing their contact with toxic chemicals.
Quite a few producers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic items or you can find retailers entirely dedicated to organic baby clothing. Anyway, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are provided for, from infants to adolescents. Obviously, organic clothes for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.
I do not think that I am only ever going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is a fantastic alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am absolutely going try to whenever possible.
