Baby Clothes HARRISVILLE

Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 13-08-2008

Back before I had my children, I had not thought I would be part of a mothers group. However, now that I have become a mother, being able to talk to other parents about what is taking place in my life has benefited me immensely. We discuss how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we enjoy being able to talk about the newest baby fashions we have purchased.

I usually meet with 2 other mothers, once a month, to hear about the latest gossip. We usually meet at Plaza Restaurant (which is in HARRISVILLE, RI) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last time was really exciting seeing we discussed organic baby clothing. I have been giving my baby boy organic meals from the beginning but it had never crossed my mind to purchasing organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most widely grown crops in the world and one of the most harmful to the habitat and to farm employees. The run off from these farms has destroyed the environment and particularly water ways. Organic cotton is made without the need for artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Rather, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using organic insect control practices.

You can purchase beautiful organic baby clothes online from a number of retailers. Sckoon has some beautiful organic baby clothing.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products

Getting organic clothes means you are getting products which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less damage to our habitat. No or a reduction in the use of insecticides and fertilisers means less pollution of our land and rivers, fewer cancers for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our children by lessening their contact with toxic chemicals.

Quite a few makers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothing or you can find retailers completely dedicated to organic baby fashion. Anyway, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from toddlers to older children. Naturally, organic clothes for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.

I am not saying that I am only going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is an amazing alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am most definitely going try to whenever possible.
