Baby Clothes GURLEY

Back before I had my baby, I had not believed I would be part of a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I am a mother, chatting to other mothers about what is happening in my life has been a huge help. We discuss how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we love to talk about the most recent baby outfits we have purchased.

I usually get together with 3 other parents, once a month, to find out the latest happenings. We often meet at Marys Pit Bar-B-Q (which is in GURLEY, AL) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last week was particularly eye opening as we discussed organic baby clothes. I have been feeding my baby boy organic produce from the start but I had not considered purchasing organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most widely grown products in America and one of the most ruinous to the environment and to farmers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has destroyed the environment and in particular water bodies. Organic cotton is produced without the use of artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Instead, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control practices.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing

Purchasing organic products means you are buying products which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less damage to the environment. No or reduced use of insecticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and rivers, less health problems for farm workers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by moderating their contact with toxic chemicals.

Several retailers of baby clothes also make a range of organic clothes or you can find stores completely dedicated to organic baby clothing. Anyway, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from infants to adolescents. Naturally, organic clothes for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my man.

I would not go as far to say that I am only ever going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a good alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am most definitely going try to whenever it is available.
