Baby Clothes GRESHAM

Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 30-08-2009

Before I had my children, I never really imagined I would be part of a mothers group. However, now that I have become a new mother, chatting to other parents about what is going on in my life has benefited me immensely. We chat about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we love to discuss the latest baby clothes we have picked up.

I more often than not meet with 4 other parents, once a fortnight, to catch up on the latest new. We often meet at Safeway Food & Drug - Office Bakery Deli Seafo (which is in GRESHAM, OR) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last time was particularly eye opening seeing we discussed organic baby clothes. I have been providing my baby girl organic food from the beginning but it had never crossed my mind to buying organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most broadly grown crops in the world and one of the most ruinous to the ecosystem and to farm employees. The run off from these farms has damaged the environment and especially water ways. Organic products are produced without the use of artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Alternatively, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control methods.

You can buy organic baby apparel online from a number of shops. Sckoon has some beautiful organic baby clothes.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing

Buying organic clothes means you are purchasing produce which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less pollution of the environment. No or reduced use of herbicides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our land and waterways, less health problems for farm workers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by lessening their contact with dangerous chemicals.

A number of producers of baby clothes also make a range of organic clothing or you can find designers completely dedicated to organic baby clothes. Anyway, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are provided for, from toddlers to older children. Naturally, organic clothing for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my man.

I would not go as far to say that I am only ever going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is a fantastic alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am without a doubt going try to whenever I can.
