Baby Clothes GREENVILLE
Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 14-12-2009
Back before I had my first child, I never imagined I would belong to a mothers group. However, now that I am a new mother, chatting to other women about what is taking place in my life has benefited me immensely. We discuss how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we enjoy being able to discuss the newest baby fashions we have picked up.
I usually meet with 4 other mothers, once a fortnight, to find out the latest gossip. We usually meet at Little Pigs Bar-B-Q of Greenville the Original (which is in GREENVILLE, SC) as that is quite central for all of us. Last time was particularly exciting seeing we discussed baby clothes. I have been giving my baby organic food from the beginning but I had not considered getting organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most widely grown crops in the world and one of the most harmful to the habitat and to farmers. The run off from cotton farms has damaged habitats and in particular water supplies. Organic cotton is grown without using artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Alternatively, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control techniques.
You can buy organic baby outfits online from a number of stores. Sckoon has some of the cutest organic baby clothing.

Benefits of Organic Clothing
Buying organic products means you are getting produce which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less damage to our habitat. No or a reduction in the use of pesticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our soils and rivers, reduced health problems for farm workers, and fewer health risks for our children by reducing their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.
Several retailers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic items or you can find stores solely dedicated to organic baby fashion. Either way, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from infants to adolescents. Naturally, organic fashion for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.
I would not go as far to say that I am only ever going to buy organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is a fantastic alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am definitely going try to whenever I can.
