Baby Clothes GREENS FORK

Back before I had my children, I never really thought I would belong to a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I have become a new mother, talking to other women about what is going on in my life has really helped me. We chat about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we love to talk about the newest baby fashions we have picked up.

I generally go out with 4 other parents, once a month, to hear about the latest new. We generally meet at Joann's Cafe (which is in GREENS FORK, IN) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last week was particularly exciting as we discussed baby clothes. I have been giving my baby girl organic food from the beginning but I had not considered purchasing organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most widely grown plants in the US and one of the most harmful to the habitat and to farm workers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has ruined habitats and especially water bodies. Organic cotton is grown without using artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Instead, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using organic pest control methods.

You can purchase organic cotton baby clothing online from a number of stores. Sckoon has some beautiful organic baby apparel.

Benefits of Organic Clothing

Buying organic produce means you are buying produce which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less damage to the environment. No or a reduction in the use of herbicides and fertilisers means less pollution of our land and rivers, less diseases for farm workers, and fewer health risks for children by reducing their contact with dangerous chemicals.

Quite a few wholesalers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic items or you can find retailers entirely dedicated to organic baby clothes. Either way, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are catered for, from toddlers to teenagers. Of course, organic clothing for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my man.

I would not go as far to say that I am just going to buy organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is a good alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am definitely going try to whenever it is available.
