Baby Clothes GRANITE FALLS

Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 18-03-2009

Long before I had my baby, I never really thought I would belong to a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I am finally a mother, talking to other women about what is taking place in my life has really helped me. We talk about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we enjoy being able to talk about the latest baby outfits we have purchased.

I usually meet with 3 other mothers, once a fortnight, to hear about the latest happenings. We generally meet at J B Yates (which is in GRANITE FALLS, MN) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last week was particularly interesting because we chatted about organic baby clothes. I have been feeding my baby girl organic food from the start but it had never crossed my mind to purchasing organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most popular plants in the world and one of the most harmful to the environment and to farmers. The run off from cotton farms has damaged the environment and especially water bodies. Organic products are produced without using artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Instead, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using organic insect control techniques.

You can get soft organic cotton baby apparel online from a number of shops. Sckoon is my favourite for organic baby apparel.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products

Getting organic clothing means you are buying produce which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less contamination of our habitat. No or less use of insecticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our soils and lakes, less cancers for farmers, and fewer health risks for children by moderating their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.

Several makers of baby clothes also make a range of organic clothes or you can find companies entirely devoted to organic baby fashion. Anyway, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are provided for, from toddlers to teenagers. Obviously, organic clothes for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.

I do not think that I am just going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is an excellent alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am absolutely going try to whenever possible.
