Baby Clothes GLASSPORT

Back before I had my children, I had not believed I would join a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I am a mum, talking to other mothers about what is going on in my life has really helped me. We chat about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we like to discuss the most recent baby outfits we have purchased.

I generally go out with 2 other parents, once a week, to hear about the latest new. We usually meet at Laromana (which is in GLASSPORT, PA) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last month was really exciting because we talked about organic baby clothing. I have been feeding my baby girl organic produce from day one but I had not considered purchasing organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most popular products in the US and one of the most ruinous to the habitat and to farmers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has damaged habitats and especially water bodies. Organic produce is grown without the need for artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Instead, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using organic insect control methods.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing

Getting organic clothing means you are getting produce which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less pollution of soils and waterways. No or less use of pesticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our land and lakes, reduced cancers for farm workers, and fewer health risks for children by moderating their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.

Several wholesalers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic items or you can find shops entirely devoted to organic baby fashion. Thankfully, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are catered for, from infants to adolescents. Of course, organic fashion for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my man.

I would not go as far to say that I am just going to get organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is a fantastic alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am definitely going try to whenever possible.
