Baby Clothes GARLAND

Long before I had my baby, I had not imagined I would belong to a mothers group. However, now that I am finally a mum, being able to talk to other parents about what is taking place in my life has been a huge help. We discuss how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we love to chat about the most recent baby clothes we have picked up.
I more often than not go out with 3 other parents, once a week, to catch up on the latest happenings. We usually meet at Lucky Chan Chinese Restaurant (which is in GARLAND, TX) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last time was more exciting because we discussed organic baby clothing. I have been feeding my baby girl organic produce from the start but it had never crossed my mind to getting organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most widely grown products in the US and one of the most harmful to the habitat and to farm workers. The run off from these farms has damaged ecosystems and especially water bodies. Organic produce is made without the use of artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Rather, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using organic pest control methods.
Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing
Purchasing organic clothing means you are buying products which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less pollution of soils and waterways. No or a reduction in the use of insecticides and fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and waterways, reduced diseases for farm workers, and fewer health risks for children by lessening their contact with dangerous chemicals.
A number of wholesalers of baby clothes also make a range of organic clothes or you can find stores completely dedicated to organic baby clothes. Anyway, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are provided for, from toddlers to older children. Of course, organic clothes for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.
I am not saying that I am only going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is an excellent alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am most definitely going try to whenever it is available.
