Long before I had my children, I had not imagined I would join a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I am a mother, being able to talk to other mothers about what is going on in my life has really helped me. We talk about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we enjoy being able to talk about the latest baby fashions we have picked up.

Getting organic clothes means you are purchasing products which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less pollution of soils and waterways. No or less use of herbicides and fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and lakes, less diseases for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by reducing their contact with toxic chemicals.

Many producers of baby clothes also make a range of organic clothes or you can find retailers completely dedicated to organic baby clothes. Either way, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are catered for, from babies to older children. Of course, organic clothing for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.

I am not saying that I am only going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a fantastic alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am absolutely going try to whenever it is available.
