Baby Clothes FREMONT

Back before I had my children, I never really believed I would join a mothers group. However, now that I am finally a mother, chatting to other parents about what is taking place in my life has been a huge help. We chat about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we enjoy being able to discuss the latest baby outfits we have purchased.

I usually get together with 4 other women, once a fortnight, to catch up on the latest gossip. We generally meet at LA Cabana 1 Mexican Restaurant & Deli (which is in FREMONT, CA) as that is quite central for all of us. Last time was more eye opening as we chatted about organic baby clothes. I have been giving my baby girl organic produce from the start but I had not considered buying organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most popular plants in America and one of the most ruinous to the habitat and to farmers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has damaged habitats and particularly water bodies. Organic products are grown without the need for artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Alternatively, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control techniques.

Benefits of Organic Clothing

Purchasing organic clothing means you are buying produce which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less damage to the environment. No or a reduction in the use of insecticides and fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and lakes, reduced diseases for farm employees, and fewer health risks for children by moderating their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.

Many retailers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic items or you can find stores solely committed to organic baby clothes. Thankfully, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are provided for, from infants to teenagers. Of course, organic clothing for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.

I do not think that I am just going to get organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is a great alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am definitely going try to whenever I can.
