Long before I had my first child, I never really thought I would join a mothers group. However, now that I am finally a mum, chatting to other mothers about what is taking place in my life has benefited me immensely. No or reduced use of insecticides and fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and rivers, reduced diseases for farm workers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by reducing their contact with dangerous chemicals.
