Baby Clothes FORT MYERS
Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 31-03-2009
Long before I had my first child, I never really thought I would join a mothers group. However, now that I am finally a mum, chatting to other mothers about what is taking place in my life has benefited me immensely. We talk about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we enjoy being able to discuss the newest baby clothes we have picked up.
I usually meet with 3 other parents, once a fortnight, to hear about the latest gossip. We generally meet at Hilton Garden Inn (which is in FORT MYERS, FL) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last time was really interesting seeing we chatted about baby clothes. I have been giving my baby boy organic meals from the start but it had never crossed my mind to getting organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most widely grown products in the world and one of the most devastating to the habitat and to farm workers. The run off from cotton farms has damaged the environment and particularly water bodies. Organic produce is made without the use of artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Rather, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control methods.
You can purchase organic baby clothes online from a number of retailers. Sckoon has some gorgeous organic baby clothing.

Benefits of Organic Clothing
Purchasing organic clothing means you are getting products which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less contamination of soils and waterways. No or reduced use of insecticides and fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and rivers, reduced diseases for farm workers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by reducing their contact with dangerous chemicals.
Many wholesalers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic clothes or you can find stores completely dedicated to organic baby clothing. Anyway, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are catered for, from toddlers to teenagers. Of course, organic clothes for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my man.
I do not think that I am just going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is a great alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am most definitely going try to whenever it is available.
