Baby Clothes FORT LAUDERDALE

Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 22-10-2009

Before I had my first child, I had not imagined I would be part of a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I have become a mother, talking to other women about what is taking place in my life has benefited me immensely. We talk about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we like to chat about the most recent baby fashions we have bought.

I usually meet with 4 other parents, once a week, to find out the latest gossip. We generally meet at Nana's Place Inc (which is in FORT LAUDERDALE, FL) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last week was more interesting because we talked about baby clothes. I have been feeding my baby boy organic produce from the beginning but I had not considered purchasing organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most broadly grown crops in the world and one of the most harmful to the habitat and to farm employees. The run off from these farms has damaged ecosystems and in particular water supplies. Organic cotton is grown without the use of artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Alternatively, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using organic insect control techniques.

You can buy soft organic cotton baby clothing online from a number of shops. Sckoon has some of the cutest organic baby clothing.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing

Buying organic products means you are buying products which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less pollution of soils and waterways. No or less use of herbicides and fertilisers means less pollution of our land and waterways, less health problems for farmers, and fewer health risks for our children by moderating their contact with dangerous chemicals.

Quite a few retailers of baby clothes also make a range of organic items or you can find designers completely committed to organic baby clothing. Thankfully, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from toddlers to adolescents. Obviously, organic clothing for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my man.

I would not go as far to say that I am only ever going to buy organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is an amazing alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am most definitely going try to whenever it is available.
