Back before I had my children, I never really believed I would belong to a mothers group. However, now that I have become a mother, talking to other parents about what is taking place in my life has benefited me immensely. Purchasing organic produce means you are purchasing produce which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less contamination of soils and waterways. No or less use of pesticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our farms and rivers, reduced health problems for farmers, and fewer health risks for children by moderating their contact with dangerous chemicals.

Several makers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic items or you can find designers completely devoted to organic baby fashion. Thankfully, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are catered for, from infants to teenagers. Of course, organic fashion for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my man.

I am not saying that I am only going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is a good alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am definitely going try to whenever I can.
