Baby Clothes FARGO
Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 28-10-2009
Before I had my children, I had not imagined I would join a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I am finally a new mother, talking to other mothers about what is going on in my life has really helped me. We talk about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we like to discuss the latest baby outfits we have bought.
I generally go out with 3 other parents, once a fortnight, to find out the latest happenings. We generally meet at Figaro's Pizza (which is in FARGO, ND) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last week was really interesting because we discussed baby clothes. I have been feeding my baby organic produce from day one but it had never crossed my mind to buying organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most popular plants in America and one of the most ruinous to the environment and to farm employees. The run off from these farms has ruined the environment and in particular water ways. Organic products are produced without the use of artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Instead, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control techniques.
You can get organic baby outfits online from a number of retailers. Sckoon has some of the cutest organic baby clothing.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products
Getting organic clothing means you are buying produce which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less pollution of soils and waterways. No or less use of insecticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and waterways, reduced diseases for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by reducing their contact with toxic chemicals.
Quite a few makers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic clothing or you can find designers entirely dedicated to organic baby clothing. Anyway, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from infants to teenagers. Naturally, organic clothes for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.
I do not think that I am only going to get organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is a good alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am most definitely going try to whenever possible.
