Baby Clothes EXTON

Back before I had my children, I never thought I would be part of a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I am a mother, chatting to other mothers about what is happening in my life has been a huge help. We chat about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we enjoy being able to discuss the most recent baby outfits we have purchased.

I generally go out with 4 other parents, once a week, to hear about the latest gossip. We generally meet at Brickside Grille (which is in EXTON, PA) as that is quite central for all of us. Last time was really eye opening because we chatted about organic baby clothes. I have been providing my baby boy organic meals from day one but it had never crossed my mind to getting organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most widely grown crops in the US and one of the most harmful to the environment and to farm workers. The run off from these farms has damaged ecosystems and in particular water supplies. Organic produce is grown without the use of artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Instead, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using organic pest control techniques.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing

Buying organic products means you are getting produce which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less pollution of our habitat. No or a reduction in the use of pesticides and fertilisers means less pollution of our land and rivers, reduced cancers for farm workers, and fewer health risks for our children by lessening their contact with dangerous chemicals.

Several wholesalers of baby clothes also make a range of organic clothing or you can find shops entirely dedicated to organic baby clothing. Either way, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are provided for, from toddlers to older children. Of course, organic clothing for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.

I do not think that I am only ever going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is a fantastic alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am definitely going try to whenever possible.
