Baby Clothes EXCELSIOR SPRINGS

Back before I had my first child, I had not thought I would join a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I am finally a new mother, talking to other mothers about what is taking place in my life has benefited me immensely. We chat about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we enjoy being able to discuss the newest baby fashions we have purchased.

I usually go out with 3 other mothers, once a fortnight, to catch up on the latest gossip. We usually meet at Debra Jean's Bakery (which is in EXCELSIOR SPRINGS, MO) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last week was more exciting as we discussed baby clothes. I have been giving my baby boy organic produce from day one but I had not considered purchasing organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most widely grown crops in the US and one of the most devastating to the environment and to farm employees. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has destroyed habitats and in particular water ways. Organic cotton is grown without the use of artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Alternatively, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using organic pest control methods.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing

Buying organic produce means you are buying products which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less damage to soils and waterways. No or reduced use of pesticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and lakes, fewer health problems for farm workers, and fewer health risks for children by reducing their contact with toxic chemicals.

Quite a few producers of baby clothes also make a range of organic items or you can find shops solely committed to organic baby clothing. Either way, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are catered for, from infants to teenagers. Of course, organic clothes for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.

I do not think that I am only going to get organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is an excellent alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am without a doubt going try to whenever it is available.
