Baby Clothes EUCLID

Long before I had my baby, I never really believed I would belong to a mothers group. However, now that I have become a mum, being able to talk to other parents about what is taking place in my life has benefited me immensely. We talk about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we love to talk about the latest baby fashions we have purchased.

I usually go out with 2 other women, once a fortnight, to find out the latest new. We usually meet at Giovanni's Pizzeria (which is in EUCLID, OH) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last month was more eye opening as we chatted about baby clothes. I have been providing my baby organic produce from day one but I had never thought about purchasing organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most widely grown plants in the US and one of the most harmful to the environment and to farmers. The run off from these farms has damaged habitats and particularly water supplies. Organic cotton is grown without the use of artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Alternatively, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using organic insect control methods.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products

Getting organic clothing means you are buying produce which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less pollution of our habitat. No or a reduction in the use of pesticides and fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and rivers, fewer diseases for farmers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by reducing their contact with toxic chemicals.

Quite a few producers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic clothes or you can find retailers completely dedicated to organic baby fashion. Either way, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from babies to teenagers. Naturally, organic clothing for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my man.

I am not saying that I am just going to buy organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is a great alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am absolutely going try to whenever possible.
