Baby Clothes ELSBERRY
Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 21-03-2009
Back before I had my baby, I never really thought I would belong to a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I am a mother, chatting to other women about what is happening in my life has really helped me. We chat about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we love to talk about the latest baby clothes we have picked up.
I generally get together with 3 other parents, once a fortnight, to find out the latest happenings. We generally meet at Krumbly Burger (which is in ELSBERRY, MO) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last time was more interesting because we talked about organic baby clothes. I have been giving my baby boy organic meals from day one but I had never thought about getting organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most broadly grown plants in the US and one of the most harmful to the ecosystem and to farm workers. The run off from these farms has damaged habitats and especially water supplies. Organic cotton is made without using artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Alternatively, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using organic pest control techniques.
You can purchase soft organic cotton baby apparel online from a number of retailers. Sckoon has some beautiful organic baby clothes.

Benefits of Organic Clothing
Getting organic clothing means you are purchasing produce which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less damage to soils and waterways. No or a reduction in the use of pesticides and fertilisers means less pollution of our land and waterways, less cancers for farmers, and fewer health risks for our children by moderating their contact with dangerous chemicals.
Quite a few producers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic clothes or you can find shops entirely dedicated to organic baby clothes. Either way, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from toddlers to older children. Obviously, organic clothing for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.
I do not think that I am only ever going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is a fantastic alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am definitely going try to whenever I can.
