Baby Clothes EDWARDS

Back before I had my children, I never really thought I would belong to a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I am finally a mum, talking to other parents about what is happening in my life has really helped me. We chat about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we love to talk about the latest baby outfits we have purchased.
I generally meet with 4 other mothers, once a week, to catch up on the latest happenings. We often meet at Asia (which is in EDWARDS, CO) as that is quite central for all of us. Last time was particularly interesting because we chatted about organic baby clothing. I have been providing my baby girl organic meals from day one but it had never crossed my mind to getting organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most widely grown plants in the US and one of the most harmful to the habitat and to farm workers. The run off from cotton farms has damaged ecosystems and in particular water supplies. Organic produce is made without the use of artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Instead, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control methods.
Benefits of Choosing Organic Products
Purchasing organic products means you are buying produce which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less pollution of the environment. No or reduced use of pesticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our farms and rivers, less cancers for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our children by lessening their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.
Quite a few retailers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic clothing or you can find companies solely dedicated to organic baby clothes. Thankfully, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are provided for, from babies to teenagers. Obviously, organic clothing for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.
I am not saying that I am only ever going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is an excellent alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am without a doubt going try to whenever possible.
