Baby Clothes EASTON

Before I had my baby, I never really thought I would join a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I have become a new mother, talking to other mothers about what is happening in my life has benefited me immensely. We talk about how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we enjoy being able to discuss the most recent baby outfits we have picked up.

I more often than not meet with 2 other mothers, once a month, to find out the latest new. We usually meet at Fourth Street General Store & Deli (which is in EASTON, PA) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last week was really interesting seeing we chatted about organic baby clothing. I have been giving my baby organic produce from the start but I had never thought about buying organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most widely grown crops in the world and one of the most ruinous to the ecosystem and to farmers. The run off from cotton farms has ruined ecosystems and particularly water supplies. Organic products are made without using artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Rather, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using organic pest control techniques.

You can buy organic baby apparel online from a number of stores. Sckoon has some gorgeous organic baby clothes.

Benefits of Organic Clothing

Purchasing organic produce means you are getting clothes which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less contamination of our habitat. No or less use of pesticides and fertilisers means less pollution of our land and lakes, less diseases for farmers, and fewer health risks for children by reducing their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.

A number of retailers of baby clothes also make a range of organic items or you can find shops solely devoted to organic baby clothes. Anyway, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are catered for, from babies to adolescents. Obviously, organic fashion for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.

I do not think that I am only ever going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a good alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am definitely going try to whenever I can.
