Baby Clothes DOYLESTOWN
Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 23-08-2009
Long before I had my children, I never thought I would join a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I am a mum, being able to talk to other mothers about what is happening in my life has really helped me. We discuss how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we like to discuss the most recent baby fashions we have picked up.
I usually get together with 2 other mothers, once a month, to catch up on the latest happenings. We generally meet at Farm House (which is in DOYLESTOWN, PA) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last week was particularly exciting as we chatted about organic baby clothes. I have been giving my baby boy organic meals from the start but I had not considered purchasing organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most popular products in America and one of the most devastating to the habitat and to farm employees. The run off from cotton farms has damaged ecosystems and particularly water ways. Organic products are made without the need for artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Instead, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control methods.
You can purchase beautiful organic baby clothing online from a number of retailers. Sckoon has some of the cutest organic baby clothing.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing
Buying organic clothes means you are buying clothes which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less damage to soils and waterways. No or less use of insecticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our land and lakes, reduced cancers for farm workers, and fewer health risks for children by moderating their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.
Many wholesalers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic clothes or you can find stores completely dedicated to organic baby clothing. Anyway, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are provided for, from infants to teenagers. Obviously, organic clothes for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.
I would not go as far to say that I am only going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is a great alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am most definitely going try to whenever possible.
