Long before I had my first child, I had not thought I would join a mothers group. Purchasing organic products means you are buying produce which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less contamination of our habitat. No or reduced use of insecticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and waterways, less health problems for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by lessening their contact with toxic chemicals.
