Before I had my first child, I never believed I would belong to a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I have become a mum, chatting to other mothers about what is happening in my life has benefited me immensely. Purchasing organic clothes means you are getting clothes which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less contamination of soils and waterways. No or reduced use of insecticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and lakes, fewer health problems for farmers, and fewer health risks for children by moderating their contact with toxic chemicals.
