Baby Clothes DANVILLE

Long before I had my first child, I had not believed I would belong to a mothers group. However, now that I have become a mum, being able to talk to other women about what is going on in my life has been a huge help. We chat about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we love to talk about the newest baby fashions we have purchased.

I more often than not get together with 3 other women, once a week, to catch up on the latest happenings. We often meet at Luna LOCA Mexican Restaurant (which is in DANVILLE, CA) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last month was more exciting as we talked about organic baby clothing. I have been giving my baby boy organic produce from the beginning but I had never thought about buying organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most broadly grown plants in America and one of the most devastating to the environment and to farm employees. The run off from these farms has destroyed ecosystems and especially water supplies. Organic cotton is made without the need for artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Instead, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control practices.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing

Getting organic clothes means you are getting products which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less damage to soils and waterways. No or a reduction in the use of insecticides and fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and lakes, fewer health problems for farm workers, and fewer health risks for our children by reducing their contact with toxic chemicals.

Several producers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic items or you can find wholesalers entirely devoted to organic baby clothes. Thankfully, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from infants to teenagers. Obviously, organic clothing for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.

I would not go as far to say that I am just going to buy organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is a fantastic alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am absolutely going try to whenever possible.
