Before I had my baby, I never really believed I would join a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I have become a mother, chatting to other mothers about what is going on in my life has really helped me. We talk about how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we love to discuss the newest baby outfits we have picked up.
I generally go out with 4 other parents, once a month, to find out the latest new. We generally meet at D & S Grill (which is in COLLEGE STATION, TX) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last time was really interesting because we chatted about organic baby clothes. I have been providing my baby boy organic meals from the start but it had never crossed my mind to getting organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most widely grown plants in America and one of the most ruinous to the ecosystem and to farm workers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has destroyed ecosystems and particularly water supplies. Organic produce is grown without the need for artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Rather, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using organic insect control techniques.

Benefits of Organic Clothing
Getting organic clothes means you are buying produce which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less pollution of soils and waterways. No or less use of pesticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and rivers, less health problems for farmers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by lessening their contact with dangerous chemicals.
A number of wholesalers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothes or you can find stores solely dedicated to organic baby clothes. Thankfully, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from infants to teenagers. Obviously, organic fashion for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my man.
I do not think that I am only going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is an amazing alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am definitely going try to whenever it is available.
