Baby Clothes CLOVIS

Back before I had my baby, I never believed I would join a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I am a mum, chatting to other mothers about what is taking place in my life has been a huge help. We discuss how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we like to talk about the latest baby clothes we have picked up.

I more often than not meet with 3 other mothers, once a week, to catch up on the latest new. We usually meet at Galley Cafe (which is in CLOVIS, NM) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last time was particularly eye opening as we talked about organic baby clothes. I have been feeding my baby girl organic meals from the start but it had never crossed my mind to getting organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most popular plants in America and one of the most devastating to the habitat and to farmers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has damaged the environment and especially water supplies. Organic cotton is produced without the use of artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Rather, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using organic pest control methods.

You can purchase organic baby outfits online from a number of retailers. Sckoon is my favourite for organic baby clothes.

Benefits of Organic Clothing

Buying organic products means you are getting products which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less contamination of soils and waterways. No or a reduction in the use of herbicides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our land and lakes, reduced health problems for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by lessening their contact with dangerous chemicals.

A number of retailers of baby clothes also make a range of organic clothes or you can find retailers solely dedicated to organic baby clothing. Thankfully, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are catered for, from infants to teenagers. Obviously, organic fashion for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.

I would not go as far to say that I am just going to buy organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is a great alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am definitely going try to whenever it is available.
