Baby Clothes CLARKSTON

Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 08-03-2010

Long before I had my baby, I had not thought I would belong to a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I have become a new mother, talking to other women about what is going on in my life has really helped me. We talk about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we like to discuss the most recent baby fashions we have purchased.

I usually go out with 4 other women, once a month, to hear about the latest gossip. We generally meet at Wing Ding Doodle (which is in CLARKSTON, GA) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last month was really exciting because we chatted about organic baby clothing. I have been providing my baby organic produce from the beginning but it had never crossed my mind to purchasing organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most broadly grown products in the US and one of the most devastating to the ecosystem and to farmers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has damaged the environment and in particular water supplies. Organic products are grown without the use of artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Instead, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using organic pest control techniques.

You can buy beautiful organic baby clothing online from a number of shops. Sckoon has some beautiful organic baby clothing.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing

Getting organic clothes means you are getting clothes which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less pollution of our habitat. No or a reduction in the use of herbicides and fertilizers means less pollution of our farms and lakes, less cancers for farm workers, and fewer health risks for children by lessening their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.

Many retailers of baby clothes also make a range of organic clothing or you can find companies solely devoted to organic baby fashion. Anyway, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from infants to teenagers. Obviously, organic clothes for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.

I am not saying that I am just going to get organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is a great alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am absolutely going try to whenever it is available.
