Back before I had my children, I never really imagined I would join a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I am a mother, talking to other mothers about what is happening in my life has really helped me. We chat about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we like to talk about the newest baby clothes we have bought.

Getting organic clothing means you are getting products which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less damage to the environment. No or a reduction in the use of herbicides and fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and waterways, reduced cancers for farm employees, and fewer health risks for children by moderating their contact with toxic chemicals.

Thankfully, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are catered for, from babies to adolescents. I am not saying that I am only going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a fantastic alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am without a doubt going try to whenever possible.
