Baby Clothes CHICAGO

Before I had my first child, I never really thought I would belong to a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I am a mum, talking to other parents about what is going on in my life has been a huge help. We discuss how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we like to chat about the newest baby outfits we have bought.

I generally get together with 2 other parents, once a fortnight, to catch up on the latest gossip. We often meet at Belveder Delicatestian Inc (which is in CHICAGO, IL) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last month was more eye opening because we chatted about organic baby clothing. I have been providing my baby organic produce from the start but I had never thought about purchasing organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most broadly grown crops in America and one of the most devastating to the habitat and to farmers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has destroyed habitats and particularly water supplies. Organic cotton is made without the use of artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Instead, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using organic insect control techniques.

You can buy organic cotton baby outfits online from a number of retailers. Sckoon has some beautiful organic baby clothes.

Benefits of Organic Clothing

Buying organic produce means you are purchasing clothes which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less pollution of soils and waterways. No or less use of herbicides and fertilisers means less pollution of our land and rivers, fewer health problems for farm workers, and fewer health risks for children by lessening their contact with dangerous chemicals.

Quite a few wholesalers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothes or you can find shops entirely devoted to organic baby clothing. Anyway, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are catered for, from babies to older children. Of course, organic fashion for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.

I would not go as far to say that I am only going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a good alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am absolutely going try to whenever possible.
