Baby Clothes CHARLOTTE

Before I had my children, I never believed I would belong to a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I am a mum, being able to talk to other mothers about what is taking place in my life has been a huge help. We chat about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we love to talk about the newest baby clothes we have bought.
I usually get together with 4 other women, once a week, to hear about the latest gossip. We generally meet at Chucky T'S Beer & BBQ (which is in CHARLOTTE, NC) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last week was particularly exciting as we discussed organic baby clothes. I have been giving my baby girl organic produce from the beginning but I had never thought about getting organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most widely grown crops in the world and one of the most ruinous to the habitat and to farmers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has destroyed ecosystems and in particular water bodies. Organic cotton is grown without using artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Instead, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using organic insect control methods.
Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing
Buying organic products means you are buying clothes which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less contamination of the environment. No or reduced use of pesticides and fertilisers means less pollution of our land and rivers, fewer cancers for farm employees, and fewer health risks for children by reducing their contact with toxic chemicals.
Quite a few retailers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic items or you can find shops solely devoted to organic baby fashion. Either way, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are catered for, from toddlers to adolescents. Naturally, organic clothes for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.
I am not saying that I am only ever going to buy organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is a fantastic alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am without a doubt going try to whenever I can.
