Baby Clothes CAPE GIRARDEAU

Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 23-03-2009

Back before I had my baby, I had not thought I would belong to a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I am finally a new mother, talking to other women about what is happening in my life has really helped me. We discuss how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we like to chat about the newest baby outfits we have picked up.

I usually get together with 4 other mothers, once a week, to catch up on the latest happenings. We generally meet at Betties (which is in CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO) as that is quite central for all of us. Last time was particularly eye opening seeing we chatted about organic baby clothing. I have been providing my baby girl organic meals from day one but I had never thought about getting organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most widely grown plants in the world and one of the most devastating to the environment and to farmers. The run off from these farms has ruined habitats and in particular water bodies. Organic cotton is grown without the need for artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Rather, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using organic pest control techniques.

You can purchase organic baby clothes online from a number of stores. Sckoon is my favourite for organic baby clothes.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products

Purchasing organic clothing means you are buying produce which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less pollution of soils and waterways. No or reduced use of herbicides and fertilisers means less pollution of our land and rivers, reduced health problems for farm workers, and fewer health risks for children by moderating their contact with toxic chemicals.

Many wholesalers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothing or you can find companies entirely dedicated to organic baby clothes. Either way, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are catered for, from toddlers to teenagers. Obviously, organic fashion for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my man.

I would not go as far to say that I am just going to buy organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is an excellent alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am absolutely going try to whenever possible.
