Baby Clothes ARCHBALD
Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 22-09-2008
Long before I had my baby, I never imagined I would belong to a mothers group. However, now that I am finally a new mother, being able to talk to other mothers about what is taking place in my life has really helped me. We talk about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we enjoy being able to discuss the most recent baby clothes we have purchased.
I more often than not get together with 4 other mothers, once a week, to catch up on the latest happenings. We usually meet at Eatery the by Jessica (which is in ARCHBALD, PA) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last month was particularly interesting because we talked about organic baby clothes. I have been giving my baby organic produce from the beginning but it had never crossed my mind to buying organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most popular products in the US and one of the most harmful to the habitat and to farm employees. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has ruined habitats and in particular water bodies. Organic products are grown without the use of artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Alternatively, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using organic pest control methods.
You can buy beautiful organic baby clothing online from a number of stores. Sckoon has some beautiful organic baby apparel.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing
Buying organic clothing means you are buying products which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less damage to our habitat. No or a reduction in the use of pesticides and fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and waterways, less health problems for farmers, and fewer health risks for our children by lessening their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.
Several makers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic items or you can find stores entirely dedicated to organic baby clothing. Either way, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are catered for, from toddlers to older children. Obviously, organic clothes for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.
I would not go as far to say that I am just going to buy organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is a great alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am without a doubt going try to whenever it is available.
