Back before I had my first child, I never thought I would be part of a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I have become a mum, talking to other women about what is taking place in my life has been a huge help. We talk about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we enjoy being able to chat about the most recent baby clothes we have bought.

I usually get together with 4 other mothers, once a fortnight, to catch up on the latest gossip. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has destroyed the environment and especially water ways. Organic produce is grown without using artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Rather, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using organic insect control practices.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing

Purchasing organic clothing means you are getting clothes which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less pollution of soils and waterways. No or a reduction in the use of pesticides and fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and waterways, fewer diseases for farm workers, and fewer health risks for our children by lessening their contact with toxic chemicals.

A number of makers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic clothes or you can find designers solely committed to organic baby fashion. Thankfully, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are provided for, from infants to teenagers. Naturally, organic clothing for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my man.

I would not go as far to say that I am just going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a fantastic alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am most definitely going try to whenever it is available.
