Back before I had my baby, I had not believed I would join a mothers group. However, now that I am finally a mum, talking to other mothers about what is taking place in my life has really helped me. We talk about how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we love to talk about the newest baby fashions we have bought.
I usually meet with 4 other parents, once a fortnight, to find out the latest gossip. We generally meet at Aladinos Pizza (which is in ANTIOCH, CA) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last month was more exciting because we discussed organic baby clothing. I have been giving my baby girl organic meals from the start but I had not considered purchasing organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most popular plants in America and one of the most devastating to the environment and to farmers. The run off from these farms has destroyed ecosystems and in particular water bodies. Organic produce is grown without the use of artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Alternatively, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using organic pest control methods.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products
Getting organic products means you are buying produce which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less damage to our habitat. No or a reduction in the use of pesticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our land and lakes, less cancers for farm workers, and fewer health risks for children by moderating their contact with dangerous chemicals.

Anyway, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are provided for, from toddlers to older children. I would not go as far to say that I am just going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is a fantastic alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am absolutely going try to whenever possible.
