Before I had my first child, I had not believed I would join a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I have become a mum, chatting to other parents about what is happening in my life has really helped me. We discuss how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we like to talk about the newest baby outfits we have bought.

I more often than not get together with 3 other mothers, once a week, to hear about the latest happenings. Purchasing organic clothing means you are buying clothes which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less contamination of our habitat. No or reduced use of pesticides and fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and rivers, reduced cancers for farmers, and fewer health risks for our children by reducing their contact with toxic chemicals.

Either way, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from toddlers to older children. I would not go as far to say that I am just going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is a good alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am most definitely going try to whenever it is available.
