Back before I had my first child, I never really thought I would join a mothers group. However, now that I have become a mum, talking to other parents about what is taking place in my life has been a huge help. Buying organic produce means you are buying products which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less damage to soils and waterways. No or a reduction in the use of insecticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our land and waterways, less health problems for farm workers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by lessening their contact with dangerous chemicals.
