Baby Clothes ALLENTOWN

Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 12-10-2008

Long before I had my baby, I never thought I would belong to a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I am finally a mother, chatting to other parents about what is taking place in my life has really helped me. We talk about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we love to discuss the newest baby outfits we have picked up.

I more often than not go out with 2 other mothers, once a fortnight, to find out the latest happenings. We often meet at Akita Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar (which is in ALLENTOWN, PA) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last week was more eye opening as we chatted about baby clothes. I have been providing my baby boy organic meals from the start but it had never crossed my mind to buying organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most popular crops in the world and one of the most harmful to the ecosystem and to farmers. The run off from these farms has destroyed the environment and in particular water supplies. Organic produce is produced without the use of artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Instead, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using organic pest control methods.

You can buy soft organic cotton baby clothes online from a number of shops. Sckoon has some of the cutest organic baby clothes.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products

Getting organic clothes means you are buying produce which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less damage to soils and waterways. No or reduced use of insecticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our land and waterways, reduced diseases for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by moderating their contact with dangerous chemicals.

Quite a few wholesalers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothing or you can find stores entirely devoted to organic baby clothes. Either way, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are provided for, from infants to older children. Obviously, organic clothing for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.

I am not saying that I am only going to get organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is a good alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am absolutely going try to whenever it is available.
