Organic Baby Clothing PROVO

Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 25-02-2010

Before I had my first child, I never thought I would join a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I have become a new mother, being able to talk to other mothers about what is going on in my life has benefited me immensely. We talk about how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we like to talk about the latest baby fashions we have picked up.

I usually get together with 2 other parents, once a month, to find out the latest new. We generally meet at Pier 49 Pizza (which is in PROVO, UT) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last time was particularly interesting as we discussed organic baby clothes. I have been giving my baby girl organic meals from day one but I had never thought about getting organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most broadly grown crops in the US and one of the most harmful to the ecosystem and to farmers. The run off from these farms has ruined the environment and especially water bodies. Organic products are grown without the use of artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Rather, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control methods.

You can purchase organic cotton baby apparel online from a number of stores. Sckoon has some of the cutest organic baby clothes.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products

Purchasing organic clothes means you are buying clothes which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less contamination of soils and waterways. No or less use of insecticides and fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and waterways, reduced diseases for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by reducing their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.

Several retailers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothes or you can find companies entirely dedicated to organic baby clothes. Either way, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from toddlers to adolescents. Of course, organic fashion for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.

I am not saying that I am only going to get organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is an excellent alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am most definitely going try to whenever I can.

Back before I had my baby, I never really thought I would join a mothers group. However, now that I am a new mother, being able to talk to other women about what is taking place in my life has benefited me immensely. We discuss how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we like to chat about the most recent baby fashions we have picked up.

I more often than not get together with 4 other women, once a week, to hear about the latest happenings. We usually meet at Lura Family Restaurant (which is in LARGO, FL) as that is quite central for all of us. Last week was really exciting seeing we talked about organic baby clothes. I have been feeding my baby boy organic produce from the beginning but it had never crossed my mind to buying organic clothing for her.
